The Huron Expositor • June 21, 2006 Page 27 Correspondence .Exercise helps loosen up residen Fun and fitness in the sun - room at Queensway Nursing and Retirement Home in Hensall helped loosen resi- dents up Monday morning as they worked their way through the range of motion exercise routine. A sing song and quiz time completed the hour long program. In the afternoon, women of the Exeter Christian Reform Church volunteered for an afternoon of visiting with res- idents outdoors and taking those wishing to go for walks or wheelchair rides. Volunteer Mariette Bilcke assisted with breakfast group Q11414'11. ‘111‘ '\ 1I1illr:; and R4'111'4'1114'111 1101114' Tuesday morning as a break- fast of bacon, eggs made to order, fruit, toast, coffee and tea was served to the eight residents in attendance. Tuesday afternoon Pastor Wendy Noble led worship with Belva Fuss as volunteer pianist. Volunteer Marg Cole greeted residents and distrib- uted hymn books. Euchre euthusiasts gath- ered for some games Wednesday afternoon with volunteer Francis Kinsman, while others benefitted from manicures and pampering in the sunroom. Registered Massage Therapist, Lisa Stewart brought cheer Thursday morning as musical notes floated from her small group of participants in the lounge, throughout the hallways drawing residents and visi- tors alike. Friday afternoon baking group made bran muffins and pronounced them delicious after sampling them buttered and fresh from the oven with a cup of tea. AIIyoucaneatfish fry August 13 at aren The Hensall Community Development Action Committee and the Hensall Fire Department will be pre- senting an all -you -can -eat Fish Fry on Sunday, Aug. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hensall Arena. At Hensall United Church Janet Uren was the minister. Her message was "The Earth's Response." At Carmel Presbyterian Church Tracy Whitson-Bahro was the minister. Tracy's message was "Prayer and Care." On Thursday, June 22 from 9 to 10:30 a.m., a coffee hour will be held at Carmel Presbyterian Church.
