President Rick Woods chaired the meeting with some 25 members pre- sent. A minute of silence was held for deceased members of the years past. Woods displayed the plaque received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The property committee is busy getting the grounds ready for open- ing day which will be May 22, with jitney bowling in the afternoon com- mencing at 2 p.m. followed by a pot luck supper at 5:30 p.m. and euchre or bowling after. Mixed jitney schedules are Monday 1:30-3 p.m., Tuesday 7-9:30 p.m., Thursday 1:30-3:30 p.m., Friday 7-9:30 p.m. and men's night 7:30-9:30 p.m. All you need is a pair of running shoes. House bowls and instruction on the game will be provided free by our club. The first barbecue at the club will be Friday June 16 with supper from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and bowling after at 7 p.m. Lawn bowling is fun and can be competitive, but above all friendly, so good bowling to all in 2006. Pat Campbell looked after the nursery. The ushers were Eric : and Eleanor Mansfield. The Friendship Circle would like donations of new or nearly new items for the Penny Sale on May 27. At Carmel Presbyterian Church Tracy Whitson-Bahro was the minister with Joyce Pepper playing the organ. The offering was received by Al Hoggarth and Harry Smith. Anniversary and communion service will be held on May 28 with Rev Vandermay officiat- ing.
