Speakers from Communities in Bloom give
presentation and make recommendations
Seaforth and District
Horticultural Society met
March 8 in Northside
United Church beginning
with a potluck dinner at 6
p.m.
Rev. Horst said grace and
37 sat down to a delicious
meal. Speakers were from
Communities' in Bloom so
other organizations were
invited.
Margaret DeJong intro-
duced Brad Knight, Bob
Fisher and Barbara
Dalrymple. Brad Knight
showed slides of pictures
taken around Seaforth and
spoke on how we can
improve, put flower boxes on
the Egmondville bridge,
repair or replace signs
around town and make new
plantings.
We are partners with
Petrolia, and they had sent
canna to be given as door
prizes.
Margaret thanked the
group and presented them
with a flower each.

took the chair and welcomed
everyone. Beatrice Stoll read

was presented by David
Bolton and Haden Flood.

and Marion Hunt served
coffee, muffins and tea bis-
cuits. Stay tuned for

Vince and Sheila Nicol,
Shannon and Danny visit-
ed on Sunday with
Beatrice Campbell. Danny
stayed to visit his grand-
mother for a few days.

together. Nancy also remind-
ed us that at some garden
centres if we show our mem-
bership card we get 10 per
cent off.
