Oh Santa, Oh Santa, You never give me a tear. Oh Santa, Oh Santa, You bring me nice things, Oh Santa, Oh Santa, Does Mrs. Claus sing? Oh Santa, Oh Santa, How do you do? Tis the season Boxing Day, everyone says "Hoorah!" Tis the season, Jesus is near, Tis the season, Of snowmen, And two men are busy. Tis the season, Kris Kringle and his jingle bells, Ring! Kendra Siebert St. James ON CHRISTMAS DAY On Christmas morn, I awoke with delight, There was lots of presents, And it was the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. I yelled to my mother, father and siblings, To come to the Christmas tree to see what was so great. They came in a hurry with joy on their faces, They ran like the wild and laughed like hyenas. ,My brother ran to the tree and took the first gift, Jorgie Janes, St. James School I yelled to him Stop! For I must say something first. I told them to bow their heads and to pray to the Lord, " I told them to be thankful for all that we have. They understood what Christmas is about, They understood and they prayed, no doubt. After we prayed, we sang, and we laughed, We handed out gifts as we danced and we prayed. For today was the greatest day, Well that's what we say. After Jesus was born, Many people heard the news, And desperately wanted to visit him, They knew he'd help take away their blues. When Jesus was first born, It was called Christmas, Which we still celebrate today, By singing carols about God and Santa • Parades. Cody Beilnewies Grade 7 St. James THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS The elves were working efficiently, all through the night, As Rudolph was practicing, his guiding light. Mrs. Claus was saying goodbye, And the reindeer were preparing to fly. Santa flipped into his dashing sleigh, At home, the children were waiting for Christmas Day. The parents were wrapping presents with a glistening bow, While in the other room, loved ones were under the mistletoe. Everyone was waiting for the special day, But then, they stopped and remembered that little baby in the hay. After their faithful wait, They sat down and saw it was very late. All the little ones got out of their cos- tumes of Little Bo Beep, And 1 aid down for a good night sleep.. Adults went off to bed after enjoying a good cup of tea, While they were sleeping, Santa secretly came down their chimney.
