Egmondville's Craig earns
second award in early season

Egmondville's Leah Craig
has been honoured with
Hockey East's Player of the
Week.
Craig is enjoying tremen-
dous success in her second
season with the University of
New Hampshire Wildcats
hockey team.
Craig earned the award fol-
lowing her play Dec. 10, when
she scored two goals and an
assist in the Wildcats 3-0 vic-
tory over Harvard University.
In 14 games this season,
Craig has compiled 16 points
on 12 goals and four assists.
She leads the Wildcats in
points, goals, power -play
goals, game -winning goals
Leah Craig
and shooting percentage.
She is ranked fifth in the
U.S. in goals per game, sec-
ond in power -play goals and
ninth in game -winning goals.
Craig received this same
award back in October from
both Hockey East and U.S.
College Hockey, which
includes 10 leagues.
The Wildcats are 6-1
against division teams and
12-2 versus teams from other
leagues this season.
Craig's 12 goals this season
match the total from her
rookie season last year, when
she finished with 28 points.
The Wildcats have halted
play for the holidays. They
return to action Jan. 4
against Colgate University in
New,York state.
