HALDANE, Norma: Norma Gladys Doreen
Haldane, age 47, of Stratford passed away at the
Stratford General Hospital on the morning of
Sunday, December 11, 2005 after her
courageous fight with lung cancer. Norma was
born in Clinton, Ontario on June 16, 1958, oldest
daughter of the late Murray Garrett and Margaret
and husband Jim Lupton. Norma is survived by
her loving husband Donald Haldane. She was
also survived by her brother John and wife Cara
Garrett of Calgary, Diane Garrett and partner
Kelly Ryan of London, and Crystal and husband
Jeff Oesch of Clinton. She was a cherished
mother of 3 children, 3 stepchildren, and
grandmother of 6 grandchildren; Adam. and wife
Doreen Altman of Brussels (Natasha, Danielle,
Adam James, Aaron and Joshua); Tanya Altman
and Marcus Bowyer of London; Christina Altman
and Cody McNaughton of Seaforth (Kylie), Katie
Haldane and Josh Hayle of Stratford; Kayla and
Krystle Haldane of Stratford. Also survived by -
mother -in-law Margaret Haldane and her late
husband Robert Haldane, brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law Charles and wife Nancy Haldane of
Stratford, Ruth Anne Dobbin and Chris Wilson of
Orillia, and Robert Haldane of Stratford. Norma
will also be missed by her many nieces and
nephews. Norma worked on the line at Cooper
Standard Products - Plant 1 for 15 years and
spent many hours in her flower gardens. Family
will receive friends at the W.G. Young Funeral
Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on
Wednesday, December 14, 2005 (today) from 2-
4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be
held at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 p.m. In
lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made
to a Trust Fund for the grandchildren of Norma
through the Young Funeral Home.
