Model trains roll into craft show
The Agricultural Society hope all are
aboard the new attraction to their annual
Farm Toy, Sports Card, Teddy Bear, Doll,
Gift and Craft Show and Sale next week-
end.
The new attraction is a 13 metre long
working toy train display, with 390 metres
of track, 70 switches, draw bridges, and 10
trains, all of which can be on the track at
once.
Agricultural Society member and event co-
ordinator Joyce Ribey said Society members
have wanted to add model trains to the
weekend event for the past few years.
"We wanted to show another avenue of col-
lecting, of interest," she said.
The models will be from the Thames
Valley Central Modular R.R. Club.
Some of the club's members
will be in attendance to answer any
questions.
As in previous years, the.
event will offer around 200 tables,
with an assortment of crafts, spread
throughout three venues.
Inside the Agriplex, there
will be the model trains, sports
cards and memorabilia and farm
toys.
At Seaforth Public School,
there will be an assortment of
crafts, while the arena will house
more crafts along with dolls and
teddy bears.
The event runs Saturday
Nov. 26 and Sunday Nov. 27 at all
three venues from 10 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.
