Joanne Williamson, who helped organize a fundraiser for the daycare involving tethered balloon rides over the festival weekend at the Seaforth Public School grounds, says the daycare received the $300 donation a week after the prank. "The donation came along with an anonymous letter that said the individuals who did the prank had no intention of taking. away from the fundraising event. So, Dave. Monson (owner of the balloon) said he decided not to press charges," says Williamson. The balloon received $750 in damages, half the original estimate of $1,500, but Monson was not reimbursed for the damages. The 26' x 15' diameter balloon, along with a blower and lighting, were found in a West William Street backyard Sunday morning after the Skyworks Balloon Company owner/operator reported the balloon missing to police. It had been set up at Seaforth's main intersection to advertise the fundraiser, where Monson had thought it Huron East man charged with assault A 26 -year-old Huron East man was charged with assault on Aug. 21 at 9:30 p.m. after a domestic situation in Seaforth. Several citizens contacted police about the situation involving a man, a child and a woman and a dispute about the child's behaviour. During the incident, a wall was damaged.
