The Auditor's report for February

for a complete overhauling.
Mr, Jos. Hawkins, through Councillor
Francis, asked that a water main be
extended east along Huron Street,a¢nd
that a hydrant be placed out in. that
neaebborhoad. Held over for further
consideration.
Councillor ;pai,is drew attention to
the. tender as accepted by the Coun-
cil of Mr. Bierling that no merr;titon
had, been. made re- the allowance of
55.00 per month for the use of town
harness and equipment. The council
hadthis in mind when his tender was
considered and accepted.
Messrs. J. S. Harvey,, a, M. Sanders
and W, G. Medd. representing the
local Horticultural Society, waited
upon the Council with regard to cer-
'tain, plans as proposed, for the beaut-
ifying of, the municipality and more
particularly its parks, and resort at
the river, seeking co-operation and a
municipal great; also that the Coun-
cil proclaim Arbor Day as "a clean.

Ellerington—That the Reeve proclaim
and set apart Friday,. May 4th, as Ar-
bor Day and call upon all citizen's to

'sign the same and affix the peak of
the Corporation thereto. Carried.

BOWLERS ANNUAL MEETING.
The. aarnuai, mneeting of the Exeter
Lawn Bowling Association was held

members present. The treasurer's re -
pert showed a successful year firman-
cially, the club being able• to pay all
expenses and reduce the i;nde,btedness
on the property by x,50.00. The fee
was fixed as last year—$7.00 for old
and S5 for new members. A Doubles 1
tourney will be held early in June'
and a Rink Tourney early in Aug-'
ust.
