42. Deaths
BERNARD: Margaret Isobel
(Evans) of Brussels passed away at
Wingham & District Hospital, on
Monday, May 30th, 2005. Margaret
was in her 76th year. Born in Grey
Township on June 23rd, 1929,
Margaret was the youngest child of
Charles and Annabell Evans. She
attended school in Union before
moving on to the Continuation
School in Brussels. On June 7th,
1947, Margaret married her late
husband Tom Bernard and the cou-
ple farmed and raised a family on
the 6th of Morris. Margaret eventu-
ally moved to the Highland
Apartments in Brussels, where she
continued to remain active within
the community and her church.
Margaret was the beloved wife of
the late Tom Bernard. She will be
sadly missed by her children Irma
Pryce and her husband Gordon and
Shirley Coleman and her husband
Jim all of McKillop Township and
Carman Bernard and his wife Mary
of Morris Township. Dear sister of
Betty McKenzie of Hensall. Also
loved by her seven grandchildren
and her seven great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her daughter
Thelma Jean and brothers Hank
and Lyle Evans. Friends were
received by the family from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the
Schimanski Family Funeral Home,
Brussels. The funeral service was
conducted from St. John's Anglican
Church, Brussels, on Thursday,
June 2 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom
Wilson officiating. A eulogy remem-
bering Margaret was given by
Dianne Diehl. Carrying floral trib-
utes were Kathy Butson, Karen
Ulch and Sarah Butson. Pallbearers
were Wallace East, Ron Pryce,
Kevin Coleman, Steve Bernard,
Mike Bernard and Chris Bernard.
Interment was in St. John's
Anglican Church Cemetery, Morris
Township. As an expression of sym-
pathy, memorial donations were
made to St. John's Anglican
Church. Online condolences may

Soaring Sprits
Spirits were sky high in Clinton last week as St. Anne's and St.
Joseph's schools hosted the second annual Soaring Spirits
Games. Students from throughout the Huron Perth Catholic
District School Board attended the June 2 event, which fea-
tured a variety of athletic events and activities. Above, St.
James student Ross McGrath plays a bean bag game while
below St. James student Bradley Nigh takes part in a para-
chute game.

ambulance attendants, Dr. Shepard

Community Hosptial, the staff of
Braemar Nursing Home, Wingham,

Hospital, and especially Doctors
Shaun and Bonnie Marshall for the
care and understanding shown to
Mother as well as ourselves.

Church, Brussels for the care and
