scene of a very intereatiing event on
Jfarch 15th, when her daughter, Miss
Gertrude Isabell, was married to Mr,

bride and ,groom were unatteneied.
The ceremony was performed. by Rev.
A C. Tiffin,. papa• of the Methodist
Church. The wedding march was
played by Miss Adze. Tamara, niece
of the bride. The bride was married

Ort Monday evening last a number
of lady friends gathered at the home
of Mrs. Phillip Murch and surprised.
Miss Minnie Male (bride -elect) with
a kitchen shower, After 'she found
the presents which were hidden about
the room, a few games were played,
then lunch was served by the lady
friends.
Don't forget the Box Sdcial in
Elimville Township Hall, Tuesday
evening, March 27th. There will be
a good program consisting of two
small plays by the young people.
Singing by Miss May Clark, and
others and violin duets. Ladies are
cordially invited to bring boxes.
Lunch will be provided for those
without boxes. Come along boys
and bring the girls.

Death—The funeral took place at
St .James Cemetery on March 21st, of
Charles C. Hodgins, husband of Ellen
McFalls, in his 61st year. Death took
place at his home, lot 13, oon.cession2
Biddulp. The funeral wp.s held under
the .direction of the L. 0. L.
The funeral of Mrs. Charlotte Her-
bert, an old and, highly esteemed resi-
dent 'of this village, took place on
March 13. The services were conduct-
ed by Rev, G. C. Gifford in the Meth-
odist church of which she had been
a valued member for many, years. She
took an active interest in all 'firework
of the Sabbath School and the Ladies'
Aid, and Women's Missionary Society
Interment took place at the Nursery
cemetery at Mooresville., Mrs. Her
hert was in: her, Stst yeer and was pre
deceased by all hex, family except two
daughters., Mrs. Love who lived with
her, and Mus. E; Bice, of McGillivray
Township.
The Women's Institute spent a very
pleasant social time at the home of
Mr; and Airs. Wes Maguire; McGilliv-
ray, on .the evening; of the 15th, New
members were admitted and a fine
program was rendered. After lunch.
