Hurricanes swim meet results
On April 22, 20 swimmers
from the Huron Hurricanes
Swim Club attended Team
Champs Swim Meet in
Etobicoke as part of 649
swimmers from 36 teams
attending the three day meet.
Nadine Otten was a star
performer in the Girls 10 and
under cateogory. She placed
first in the 50 Freestyle,
second in the 50 -metre
Butterfly and second in the
100 -metre Butterfly.
Katelyn Riley had a top 10
placing in the Girls 10 and
Under Individual Medley.
Aiden Barnett earned
points with her placement of
sixth in the 800 Freestyle,
eighth in the final event of
the 100 metre Butterfly,
seventh in the final event of
the 200 Butterfly and eighth
in the 400 Individual
Medley.
Valerie Often earned ninth
place in the 400 Individual
Medley.
Other top 10 finishes
included Rebecca Melady
who placed 10th in the 800
Freestyle.
The girls' team of 10 and
Under placed fifth in the 200
Freestyle Medley.
The Hurricanes earned 40
points overall in a fun filled
competitive meet.
