At Hensall United Church the service began with an organ prelude with Bill Gibson playing the organ. Helen MacLean welcomed everyone. Linda and Jerry Traquair were the ushers. Pastor Fred Darke read the announcements. Judi Walker was the reader and also lit the Christ Candle. Pastor Fred's message was Hensall "We will know of His continuing presence with us." May is here, time to gather your items for the village - wide yard sale on May 28. On Monday May 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Hensall United Church there will be "Spring Fashions au chocolat" with the hottest styles, colours and fabrics served up with decadent chocolate desserts and coffee. The Hensall village -wide yard sale will be held on Saturday, May 28. Anyone wishing to contribute articles suitable for the yard sale can bring their donations to Hensall United Church were they will be stored until sold. For more information phone Cecil Pepper at 262-2201 or the church office at 262-2935. Mark your calendars for the 21st Annual Village Wide Yard and Garage Sale on Saturday, May 28 - rain or shine. Firemen's breakfast, children's rides, bargains galore and every street has a sale . Hensall Spring Fair will be held on June 10, 11. Deadline for entries is 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10 at the Hensall Community Centre. For the past several years, Mary enjoyed her Dublin home in the Dublin summer, and then spent her winter in London. Sympathy to Gordon, Ronald, Leonard and daughter-in-law Andrea (Jane), wife of Jerry who died in 1996. This week, May 1-6, the Huron -Perth Catholic District School Board will be celebrating Catholic Education Week 2005. This week is marked by special activities at all grade levels.
