Dr. J. F. Bennett, President of the
St, Thomas Horticultural Society, one
of the foremost authorities on Hor-
ticulture in Canada, will visit. Exeter
under the auspices fif the local Soc-
iety, on Wednesday, Feb. 7th, and
will deliver an address illustrated with
lantern slides, in, the Town Halal ;et

be no admission fee or collection, and
the people of Exeter are urged to
attend to hear Dr. Bennett, and learn
new ways of beautifying the homes

ced her duties. Last week she ex-

Mr, Alex. Reeder roars Thursday last
while working a circular saw at the

c•eived a severe blow! on the abdomen
with a board he was planing, in some
manner the board was jerked out of
bay hand, and flying, back hit him, a
heavy blew. He was immediately tak-
en to Ms laonte and given m,editca1 at-
tention. It was found that the side
and one leg went numbed. He .is im-
proving slowly but is stili confined
to his home.
DIED IN BRANTFORD.
Word was received here on, Sunday
of the death that day in Branit'f ori
of. Mrs, Joseph Orr, nee McCurdy, at
the age of 67 years. Deceased form-
erly 'elided ion U.sbor ie, and. later ,in
Exeter, after her marriage to Mr.
Orr, who for several years worked for
the late John Treble as a h{airr..ees
maker. Over thirty years ago the
family moved to Brantford, where Mr
Orr has been, in business. Besides the
husband she is survived by one son
who. lives in Brantford, and three bro-
thers, Archie McCurdy and James
McCurdy of -Osborne, and Thomas
McCurdy of Exeter. Messrs. Archie
and James McCurdy left Exeter Mon-
day, eventing for Brantford to attend
the funeral.

Huron Ministerial Association was; held
in the School Room of the Trivitt
Memorial Church on Monday after-
noon, Feb. 5. The: new, officers occu-
pied their positions, The meetingi had
been announced as opan,ta the pub-
lic, but only two persons, Mr. Charles
Cann and Mr. Powe tools advantage of

DIED IN WINDSOR.
Mr. William Sanders, son of the late
Mrs. Mary Sanders' of William Street,
Exeter, died at the lame of his nep-
hew, Mr. Garnet Craig, Windsor, on
Tuesday Feb. 6th, at the age of 57
years, Deceased was born on the 4th
concession of Stephen Township, and
resided there until the family retired
to Exeter a number of years ago.
After the death of his mother, Mr:
Sanders went to Windsor to reside
