Egmondville teen to compete
at Canada Games in February
St. Anne's student asked to play hockey with Ontario Under 18 girls
BySusanHundsrtmark team, this year and is the second
youngest player but also the second
highest scorer on the team.
With the Junior Stangs, Craig has
been travelling throughout Canada and
the United States to games in
Montreal, Ohio, Boston and Detroit.
"She loves every
minute of it," said her
mom Fran.
And, while Craig is
too young yet to be
recruited by universities
in the United States,
she's received letters of
interest from universities
all over the States.
She is also a member
of the St. Anne's girls'
hockey team.
The Canada Winter Games will be
held in late February and early March
in Bathurst, New Brunswick and Craig
will join the team for the first practice
near Toronto in January.

Leah Craig, a Grade 11 student at St.
Anne's Secondary School, has been
asked to join the Ontario Under 18
girls' hockey team that will compete in
the Canada Games this
year.
Craig, of
Egmondville, tried out
in early November with
150 other players and
again in Orangeville a
week ago with 60 other
players.
"We found out last
night and she jumped
about four feet off the
floor. We're really
excited because it's a
goal she's had for a long time," said
her dad Terry Craig last Friday.
Leah, 16, joined the London Junior
Stangs, an intermediate AA hockey
