Doug Walker was the conductor for this special music. The Advent candle was lit by the Hrovat-Binkle family. Vern Alderdice was the greeter with Cecil Pepper attending the elevator and Denise and Andrew Troyer receiving the offering. Denise also read the scripture. The Christmas Eve service begins at 7:30 p.m. Happy 80th Birtfufay Bertha Taylor December 20, 2002 Communion will be served. The Learning Friends meet at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. At Carmel Presbyterian Church, Tracy Whitson- Bahro was the minister with Joyce Pepper accompanying the hymns on the organ. The Advent candle was lit by Robert Bell. Harry Smith and Robert Bell received the offering. The PCW of Carmel Church held their Christmas meeting at the home of Bob and Marlene Bell,. A pot -luck lunch was enjoyed by all. Marlene welcomed everyone to their home and conducted a short business meeting. Marg Baker was in charge of the worship service with Dorothy Taylor accompanying the hymns. Liz Sangster demonstrated a Christmas craft. Along with doing much sightseeing, they also enjoyed the beautiful weather of 90F. With Christmas quickly approaching, here are a few reminders of special events. Next Sunday, Dec, 22, a Communal Penance Celebration will be held at St. Patrick's Church, Dublin at 2 p.m. Anyone available and interested in helping decorate St. Patrick's Church for Christmas, please call Julie Van Bakel at 345-2666.
