Devereaux said the centre
also hopes to offer support
groups that can meet in the

"Living with diabetes is a

She also said they have

Variety show
to raise funds
for Huron County
Christmas Bureau
By Shelley McPhee Heist
Focus News Magazine Editor
There's nothing like an old fashioned Community
Christmas Variety Show and that's what will be staged in
Seaforth on Sunday, November 25th.
The 2:30 p.m. event, to be held at Northsidc United
Church will feature eight different musical groups and is
being held as fundraiser for the Huron County Christmas
Bureau.
The Seaforth Harmony Kings barbershop choir is hosting
the concert and will invite other choirs from the western
division group. The last time the local barbershoppers
hosted an event of this kind was in 1995.
Included on the program will be the Northside United
Church junior and senior choir. Toe tapping old time fiddle
music will be provided by the Huron Strings and Friends
and the beautiful sound of handbells will be presented by
the St. Marys Bell Ringers from the St. Marys
Presbyterian Church.
The popular choir, Men of Note, from the Clinton
Christian Reformed Church will perform as will the
Seaforth Harmony Highlights'- the 25 voice women's
barbershop choir, along with Chordwalk Quartet featuring
Marg and Melissa Whitmore, Kate Teal! and Audrey
Mcllwain.
In keeping with the barbershop theme the Southwestern
Gospelaires will perform and the Gospelaire Chorus which
includes 25 barbershop singers from five choirs in Sarnia,
St. Thomas, Strathroy, London and Seaforth. the
Gospelaire Quartet will also sing some favourite numbers.
All the choristers, more than 150 voices, will join in a
mass chorus to perform a Christmas medley.
There will be also time for audience participation with
singing of Christmas carols and the church will be
decorated for the festive season.
Tickets are available at the door.
