Large crowd attends Cemetery Sunday
A very large crowd
attended Cemetery Sunday
on Sept. 16 on a beautiful
sunny morning. Visitors
from surrounding parishes
attended.
Father Maurice
Charbonneau began with a
moment's silence to mourn
those lost and injured on
Sept. 11.
Music for the mass was
Dublin
provided by St. Patrick's
choir. Frank Verberne
welcomed everyone.
Following the service
the parishioners could visit
their relatives and friends'
graves for silent prayer.
Everyone was welcomed
in to the parish hall for
coffee and dainties.
Congratulations to Beth
Patterson, daughter of
Keith and Janet Patterson,
and Bud Schoonderwoerd,
son of Luke and Mary
Schoonderwoerd, who
were united in marriage on
Saturday, Sept. 15 at St.
Patrick's Church, Dublin.

Blackouts, rationing and
so many of the sons that
didn't come back. We not
only have veterans here but
many others who were
affected in various ways by
past conflicts.
Rev. Lil Wilton, of the
Exeter Presbyterian Church
provided words of comfort
and offered prayers to help
people cope when she led
worship at the Tuesday
church service.
Residents also finished
their peanut packaging work
for the Exeter White Squirrel
Festival. Over 1,200
packages were completed to
be used as souvenirs and to
feed the squirrels.
This is the second year
residents have taken on this
task and they were pleased
when Vivian Fremlin, Ethel
McMurtrey and Lorraine
Brock from Northcrest
apartments in Hensall
volunteered to help.

completed renovations and
addition and are looking
forward to showing our
