84th year. Beloved husband and

Johnny and Irene, Dennis and Mimi,

Viggo was born and raised in
Denmark. Immigrating to Canada,
he found his way to Seaforth where
he resided since 1957.
Predeceased by his parents,
Ludvug and Louise, son Hardy in
infancy, sisters Ester, Helene and
Alma, brothers Harald and Vemer.
Viggo was a loving, caring person
whose smiling face and love of fam-
ily and friends will be forever
missed. The family would like to
express thanks to the doctors and
nurses at both the Seaforth
Community Hospital and the
Seaforth Manor. The compassion-
ate care and service Viggo received
has been greatly appreciated.
Cremation has taken place. A pri-
vate family service will take place at
a later date. Arrangements were
entrusted to Box and Srnfth Funeral
Chapel, Seaforth. As
a tribute to the life of
Viggo a tree will be
planted in his memo-

"Anna": The funeral of Mrs. Aartje
`Anna' (de Groot) van den Akker of
St. Thomas, wife of the late Bessel
`Ben` van den Akker Sr. (Oct. 2,
1978), was held on Wednesday
afternoon, January 31, 2001 from
the Sifton Funeral Horne,
Wellington St., St. Thomas. Mrs.
van den Akker, a former resident of
Seaforth, Ontario, passed away on
Saturday, January 27, 2001 in her
80th year. Rev. Margaret Bell, min-
ister of First Yarmouth (Plains)
Baptist Church officiated and Earle
Kipp presided at the organ. Son,
Tony van den Akker offered a loving
tribute. Mrs. van den Akker's cre-
mated remains will be interred pri-
vately in Elmdale Memorial Park, St.
Thomas. In attendance at the funer-
al service were relatives and friends
from Louisiana, Seaforth, Sarnia,
Mitchell, London, St. Thomas and
