Student's council raises $3,000
with chocolate sales for sports
October, Student's Council
fundraised, through a "Mars"
chocolate fundraising, to help
with the ever-increasing cost
of running school sports. The
community gave much
support to these fundraising
efforts. The student's council
raised $3,000 to help sports
teams.
The last week of
November was the official
start to SDHS's season of
giving. The first campaign
that was introduced by the
Angel Tree Campaign, which
helps the Huron County
Christmas Bureau.
Students are encouraged to
donate non-perishable food
Everything is slowly
getting back to normal at
Seaforth District High
School.
After a year without extra
curricular activities,
September and October saw
girls basketball and boys
volleyball teams compete
with other high schools in
Huron County. They put out
a terrific effort at those
games.
Girls' volleyball, boys'
basketball and co-ed curling
are anticipating future
competition within the next
few weeks.
The junior Reach for the
Top team made it to the semi-
final match at the tournament
held at Central Huron
Secondary School in Clinton..
The junior Reach team
played F.E. Madill Secondary
School (Wingham), but
unfortunately did not
advance to the finals.

County.
The second campaign that
was introduced was Sleeping
Children Around The World
(SCAW).
SCAW provides bed kits to
children in third world
countries. Items that are
provided in the bed kits
include blankets, school
uniforms, various articles of
clothing and toiletries. Every
$30 raised buys one bed kit;
so far this campaign has
raised enough money for 18
bed kits.
