from game sheets picked up from
the arena and as a 'result, out-of-
town play is not recorded here
unless coaches use our scoreboard
forms and submit them to the office.
If teams are relying in game sheets
at the arena, it is important all
information is filled out.
Information often missing includes
the town of the visiting team and the
date the games were played. This
information must be available for
the scores to be included in
Scoreboard. Email or handwritten
submissions are welcome as well but

The Annual Peter Flanagan
Memorial Hockey
Tournament will be held this
weekend at the Seaforth and
District Community Centres.
Teams from all over
Southwestern Ontario will
compete for the
championship. Come out and
watch the action.
Senior Shuffleboard
Senior Shuffleboard is held
at the Seaforth and District
Community Centres every
Wednesday from 1:30 to 4
p.m.

Legion members
attend various services
for Remembrance Day
Seaforth Legion News
Monday of last week the
very successful poppy drive
was held with much support
from the community.
On Tuesday evening the
Cubs and Beavers were
brought to the Legion where
they watched a video and
were shown the artifacts on
display. They asked
questions of the Legion
members. The junior
members coloured pictures
and made pictures of crosses
and poppies. Some were
donated to the branch.
Thursday morning, 14
members of the branch and
auxiliary attended the
Seaforth High School for
their memorial service. Sgt.
Jim Brown was in charge of
the colour party. Barbara
Scott gave the Legion
address.
Friday, three members
attended Seaforth Public
School where Charles
Perkins read a story to the
students, followed by a
question and answer period
with Charles, President Eva
Brown and Barbara Scott.
They also attended the high
school's Remembrance
service.
Sunday, the annual Nov.
11 Remembrance parade was
held . The parade was led by
Piper Mary Ann Bone and a
drummer from Brussels.
Sgt. -at -Arms Jim Brown was
in charge of the parade.
Major Frank Golding,
Branch Padre and President
Eva Brown conducted the
service. Piper Mary Ann
played the lament.
Monday cribbage starts on
Nov. 19.
Dec. 8 there will be a
turkey dinner at 5 p.m. with
draws. Tickets arc available
at the Legion and from
members.
The entries for the Legion
Posters, Essays and Poems
contest from local schools
are now being judged and
will be on display at the
library soon. Drop in and sec
the talent of our local
children. First place entries
in each category will be
forwarded to the Zone
competition.
The Nov. 15 general
meeting is this week. Please
all members plan to attend.
Uniforms arc not necessary
while if you have one, wear
it with pride.
At the going down of the
sun and in the morning we
will remember them.

will be celebrating their
125th anniversary this year
and they invite you to come
help them celebrate the
occasion.
On Saturday, Nov. 17 at 1
p.m., come out and look at
memorabilia, enjoy cake and
refreshments as well as hot
beef on a bun and home
made soup.
Browse and reminisce or
enter a team in the
anniversary bonspiel - no
charge, four ends, veterans,
rookies, corn brooms and
kilts welcome. Come join the
fun and spread the word. If
