Internet Access Assistants
The Huron Community Access Program requires part-time youth workers to
facilitate access to the internet at communities across Huron County,
including Auburn, Bayfield, Bluevale, Blyth, Brussels, Centralia, Clinton,
Exeter, Fordwich, Goderich, Gorrie, Hensall, Kirkton, Seaforth, Wingham and
Zurich. Each job will last until February -2002, and will be approximately 10
hours per week, usually evenings and Saturdays. These positions will be
attractive to mature high school students or recent graduates. .
Duties include: hands on training for individuals on using the internet;
preparing local community information to develop an Internet presence for
the community.
The successful applicant will:
- have demonstrated computer and internet skills, including World Wide
Web navigation; web page development using HTML, hardware and
software management and troubleshooting.
- have excellent oral and written communication skills to explain the use of
the internet to other people, both individually, and in groups.
- be mature and able to work productively both alone and with others.
$8.00 per hour
You must be between 15 and 30 years of age.
