Dog obedience classes to be
held in Seaforth and Brussels
The Annual Terry Fox Run will be
held on Sunday, Sept. 16.
Seaforth's run will begin at the
Seaforth and District Community
Centres and the site will be open
between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. All
participants are asked to register and
begin the event before 1:30 p.m.
Last year Seaforth and area residents raised
over $5,200 which was our best year to date
since 1982.
All proceeds from the Terry Fox Run will
go towards cancer research and to date close
to $300 million has been raised worldwide.
Pledge sheets will be available throughout
town. Pick one up, collect some pledges and
we will see you on Sept. 16.
Fitness is Fun classes
Fitness is Fun with Drusilla Leitch will be
held Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9
to 10 a.m. beginning Sept. 11.
Come enjoy this 10 -week program for only
$40 for once per week or $70 for twice a
week. Drusilla will give you a great workout
using weights and steps.

Senior Shuffleboard
Senior shuffleboard continues at the
Seaforth and District Community Centres
every Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 to 4
p.m.

Senior Bowling League
The Seaforth Senior Bowling League
would like to announce that they will begin a
new season on Friday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. at
the Starlight Lanes.
New members are very welcome and you
can call Paul Copeland at 527-2400 for more
information.
Volunteer Huron
Recreation preview
Volunteer Huron would like to invite
everyone to a series of workshops. The first
workshop will be held at the Knights of
Columbus Hall in Goderich beginning at
6:30 pm. on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
The second workshop will be held on
Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at the North
Huron Community Complex in Wingham.
The guest speaker for these two workshops
will be Ted Johns from the Blyth Theatre,
who will perform a fun and inspirational play
on volunteering in Huron County.
The final workshop will be held on
Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at the South
Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter with
guest speaker John Davidson, of Jesse's
Journey.
All workshops are free, and door prizes
will be awarded. For more information
contact Volunteer Huron at 482-8777.
Dog Obedience Program
The Huron East recreation department's
Dog Obedience Program with Anita Hansen
will begin in late September.
Once again a beginner course will be
offered from 7 - 8 p.m. and an agility class
from 8 - 9 p.m.
Classes will be held at the Seaforth arena
and Brussels arena. Please watch the paper
