46 In Memoriam
MALONEY: In memory of my father,
Clarence Maloney who passed away
August 4, 1990.
He had a nature you could not help
but love,
And a heart that was purer than gold.
Those who knew him loved him,
His memory will never grow old.
46. In Memoriam
All of you who have a father, cherish
him with care,
For you will never know the
heartache,
Until you see his empty chair.
- Thinking of you often, Anne Marie,
Steven and Luanne McGregor 46-
31-1
HILDEBRAND: In loving memory of
a dear nephew, Tyler George James
who passed away August 1, 1991.
It has been 10 years,
To some you may be a part of the
past,
But to us who loved and lost you,
Your memory will always last.
The tears in our eyes we can wipe
away,
But the ache in our hearts will always
stay.
- Always remembered and sadly
missed by Aunt Carol, Uncle Bryan,
Jeffrey and Daniel 46-31x1
HILDEBRAND: In loving memory of
a dear grandson Tyler, who passed
away August 1, 1991.
Memories are a keepsake,
Treasured all life through,
Mine are very special.
Because they are of you.
A special smile, a special face,
And in my tart a special place.
- Lovingly remembered and sadly
missed by Nana Hazel Hildebrand
46-31 x 1
HILDEBRAND: In loving memory of
our dear son and brother, Tyler
George James Hildebrand, who
passed away 10 years ago, August
1, 1991.
When God calls little children to
dwell with him above,
We mortals sometimes question,
The wisdom of His Love.
For no heartaches compare with,
The death of a small child.
Who does so much to make our
world,
Seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling.
The aged to his fold,
So He picks the tiny rosebuds,
Before they can grow ofd.
God knows how much we need,
So he takes but a few,
To make the land of Heaven,
More beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult,
Still somehow we must try,
-1r) Il I.11 11
The saddest word mankind knows,
Will always be goodbye,
So when a little child departs,
We who are left behind,
Must realize God loves children -
Angels are hard to find.
- Lovingly remembered and sadly
missed by Mom, Dad, Jennie and
Emily 46-31x1
BENNEWIES: In loving memory of
our parents Edwin, August 03, 1984.
Susan, April 06, 1995.
A family has a special bond,
It's love that forms the ties,
And even in the darkest hour,
That love will never die.
It's what we draw our strength upon,
In sadness and despair,
Our comfort in the worst of times,
Because it's always there.
And when loved ones are taken,
Although we have to part.
We keep them in a special place,
Deep within our hearts.
- Lovingly remembered by all your
family 46-31x1
COSTELLO: Treasured memories
of a dear father and grandfather,
Bernard James whom God called
home on August 4, 1980.
"Dad" is such a special word,
A word that brings to mind,
A big, warm smile, a helping hand.
A way of being kind.
Devotion to the family.
A word of patience too.
"Dad" is such a special word,
Because it stands for "you."
- Always will be remembered by his
son Robert James, daughter-in-law
Mary Helen, grandsons Shawn
James and Curtis Vaughan. 46-31x1

First Seaforth Scouts attend Jamboree
at Cabot Beach, Prince Edward Island
The First Seaforth Scout
Tropp, under the supervision
of Mike and Lesley Ash,
Peter Raithby and Harry Den
Haan, traveled to the 10th
Canadian Scouting Jamboree
at Cabot Beach, P.E.I.
There, along with
approximately 14,000 other
participants from across
Canada and around the world,
the fourteen Seaforth Scouts
and their leaders participated
in a muddy obstacle course,
search and rescue training,
bicycle hiking along the
Confederation Trail,
swimming in the Atlantic
Ocean and the traditional
trading of badges.
All members of the group
had a great time meeting and
working alongside scouts
from all over. The event was
kicked off on Saturday July 7
with a two hour concert
featuring Banshee and
Annick Gagnon, artists from
the Maritimes.
Many dignitaries showed
up to see the week-long event
and meet the Scouts,
including Canadian Astronaut
Marc Garneau.
In addition to participating
in the scheduled activities at
CJ, the Seaforth troop made a
trip to Charlottetown, the
birth -place of Confederation,
followed by a stop at the
fabled Anne of Green Gables
home.
On Friday July 13, the
Scouts were greeted by the
Governor General of Canada,
and Chief Scout, her
Excellency Adrienne
Clarkson. The final event for
the week was a concert by
Kindle, another local band,
which was followed by a
video dance.
Many new friendships were
made as the youth and adults
interacted with scouts from
all over and some of the
Seaforth group are already
talking about attending the
next CJ as volunteers.
After a fun -filled week on
P.E.I., the group then traveled
to Cape Breton to see the
Fortress of Louisbourg.
From there they traveled to

the Bay of Fundy and then
they spent a day touring old
Quebec City.
During the trip the Scouts
experienced a number of
new things including lobster,
scallops, mussels and quay
hogs. Most nights
were spent in tents, however
the night at Hopewell Rocks
was courtesy of the
Riverside -Albert
community, who graciously
offered up their community
centre for a free night's
accommodation.
The Scouts were also
treated to one night in a Best

hot showers, soft beds and

welcome change from the

The trip was made
possible from support by
parents and the community
which supported the fund-

past four years.
