Legends
of Rock
perform
The Seaforth and District
Community Centres will be
hosting the Legends of Rock
n' Roll on July 28 from 9
p.m. to 1 a.m.
Come watch live
impersonations of Roy
Orbison, Buddy Holly and
Elvis for $20 per person.
Tickets are available at the
Seaforth and District
Community Centres and all
proceeds will go towards the
Seaforth Centenaires.
Final doublle bingo
Monday
Seaforth Minor Sports
Council will be hosting its
final Doubles Bingo of this
year on July 30. .
Be sure to attend at the
Seaforth and District
Community Centres with
games beginning at 7:15 pm
and doors opening at 5:30
pm. All regular game
prize money will be doubled
and the Jackpot will be
$2,000. More than
$5,000 in prize money will
be up for grabs.
All proceeds will go
towards Seaforth Minor_
Sports. Information on
Minor Sports Bingo can be
obtained by calling 527-
1272.
Tilley Tournament held in hot weather
The Fred and Betty Tilley
Tournament was held at the
Seaforth Greens on Sunday
in extremely hot weather.
Eleven•greens were in play
but games were cut back to
ten ends instead of twelve
due to the weather.
Seaforth teams were again
in the top prizes as Lee Ryan
and Carol Carter were first.
Second prize went to Erich
Matzold and Jean Lunn also
of Seaforth. Third was Gerry
Doney and Sheila Long of
Stratford. Fourth prize went
to Elmira's Roy and Jean
Snyder. Bill and Abby
Graham of St. Marys took
fifth prize and Allan Gledhill
and Gladys Cook, Stratford
were sixth. Seventh was Glen
and Glennis Keene of
Stratford and the consolation
prize went to Dennis and
Shirley Schmidt of Goderich.
Fred and Betty hosted this
tournament and provided
refreshments during the day.
Bowling in mixed pairs at
Clinton last Wednesday,
three Seaforth teams were in
the prizes. Lee Ryan and
Carol Carter won third. Jack
and Marie Muir placed fifth
and Erich and Joyce Matzold
were sixth.
At Goderich's evening
dessert tournament last
Tuesday evening. Donna and
Neil Beuerman won second.
At Lucknow mens pairs on
Thursday, Jack Muir and Bob
Doig were first place winners
while Fred Tilley and Neil
Beuerman won the
consolation prize.
Dennis Schmidt and Kevin
Rumig of Goderich and Fred
Tilley, Seaforth were fourth
in men's trebles at Sarnia
Bowling Greens. They also
attended a men's tournament
at Heritage Greens in
Kitchener on Saturday.
Thursday, July 26 will be
ladies pairs at the Seaforth
Greens hosted by Edna and
Cliff Waddington. Hopefully
the weather will be a little
cooler.

Fun and fitness starts the day at Queensway
Monday morning, Fun and
Fitness got the day off to a
good start with everyone
thankful they could exercise
in air conditioned comfort.
The geography game and
various other quiz games
completed the moming
program.
In the afternoon several
residents gathered on the deck

Tuesday afternoon with Mrs.
Graham as pianist.
Paula Townsend brought
her pet therapy dog, Popcorn
in for his regular visit
Wednesday morning where he
received the usual quota of
hugs and kisses from all the
residents who look forward to
seeing him.
Thursday afternoon arts and
crafts took place with some
residents drawing and others
painting sun catchers to sell at
our craft and bake sale in
October.
