KERR, James Alan Madill: James
was bom on October 16, 1942 in
Toronto, the son of Professor Wilfred
Brenton Kerr of Seaforth, Ontario
and Ada Brett Kerr of Rosemont,
Ontario. He was a graduate of the
University of Toronto School and the
University itself. James travelled
widely in Australia (teaching in
Melbourne), Egypt, Europe and
North America. He was 58 at the
time of his death from cancer on May
9, 2001 at the Ottawa Hospital,
General Campus. James is survived
by two sisterp, Janet Brett Morchain
and Catherine Emily Thompson and
two nephews, Michael and Gabriel
Jordan Thompson. Following the
Memorial Service at St. Luke's
Church In Rosemont at 11:00 a.m.
On Wednesday, May 23, 2001 he
will be buried in the Kerr ancestral
plot at 2:00 p.m. in the
Maitlandbank Cemetery, Seaforth,
Ontario. Donations to the Canadian
Cancer Society would be appreciat-
