Cents win two games in a row
against Parkhill on Saturday
Nobody with the Cetus organization
seemed to be able • to remember the last time'
they had won two games in a row.
"Definitely not last year. maybe.the year
before:* said •overager Chuck Robertson. But
with a spirited effort Saturday night in.
Parkhill the Cents did just that. •
The Cents were flying in one of their best
• efforts of the season through the first two
periods but were unable to solve Parkhill
netminder Lance Scott.
The Cenis looked like they may bein
trouble midway through .the second when
Aaron Parsons and Derek Ake), both went to
. the penalty box leaving Seaforth down by
two men. Seaforth has been strong on the
penalty kill all year and•this.lime was no
exception as the Cents limited the Stars to
just two powerplay shots.
It was Parkhill on the board first however.
hitting a man left open in the slot. leaving the
• Cents down by'one going into the third..
Seaforth never missed a step as they
continued in the third period with their hustle
shown through the first two. It was the Cents
powerplay that finally"came through for the
locals. • - .
North Middlesex toiik only •two penalties. in
the game but Seaforth took advantage on
their second: opportunity. Twenty-three
seconds into the man advaptage Scott Van
Dooren le a shot go from the point and Jeff
Arnold cashed in on the rebound evening the
score.at one. .
With a renewed intensity the Cents were
back at it 50 seconds .later when Adam
Boshart dumped a shot at the Stars' net from
deep in the corner, the rebound travelled
cross ice to rookie" Matt Roberts who _put it
Into the open net with the Stars' goalie down.
Scott Henderson added some insurance late
-in the third when Jeff Arnold kicked another
rebound across to him to finish.off.
. After allowing an average ,of five goals
against, through their first 10 games, the •
Cents had focussed on keeping the goals •
against down.. A strong detensive effort paid
off as the Cents held North Middlesex .io.26
shots and just one goal against.
. "We scrambled a few 'Bines and missed a
te'w assignments.. but overall it was a•decent
job.- said coach Jason Papple.'

Golf course to remain open
In : spite , of the lovely
