Seventy-five participants ran, walked. biked and roller bladed along the route from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society in Seaforth's 18th year holding the Terry Fox Run. Last year's total was 52.800. Two Seaforth pledge sheets raised half of the total. Ken Cardno, of Seaforth raised $1,010 while Ricki and Gilbert Van Steelandt, also of Seaforth, raised $1.375. Project aims to make drivers stop for school buses Over 30 drivers.in Huron and Perth Counties failing to stop for the Clashing red lights on a school bus during a two-week study last May prompted the Avon Maitland District School Board to launch Operation Bus Watch this September. And. during the first few weeks, two drivers have already been reported for not stopping, one of whom has been charged. Fines can be as much as $2,000 for a first offence and up to $4,000 and six demerit points for a second offence. "Every time a car, truck of any other type of vehicle blows by a big yellow school bus that is stopped, a child's life could he in danger," says Senior Constable Don Shropshall.
