Mr. and Mrs. I. Sims and children are in London attending the funeral of Mrs. Sims' father, Mr. French. Mr. J. W. Taylor has purchased a new Grey Dort six auto. Mr. T. Nelson brought it up from Chatham last' week. Spring is in the air. The chirp of the robin is a welcome sound and the crows are begjnning to make themselves heard. Mr. and Mrs. E. Harness and family, of Clinton, spent the week- end visiting with the former's norther in town. Mr. W. J. ,Statham is around on crutches owing to a weakness in one of his ankles, it having been placed in a plaster cast. Mr. Wesley Vale of Toronto, Mr. Wilbur Vale of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Mrs. L. Golby of London were home attending the funeral of their brother Nelson on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur King (nee Miss E. Whiteford) and farixily of Hamiota, Man., have disposed of. their interests there and have re- turned to Exeter, having decided to locate in the East. • Mr. J. G. Cochrane, who operates a machine shop in Exeter has been offered a good proposition by the town of Listowel to take over a ma- chine shop in that town which he will run in connection with his plant here.
