b.: donors seems to be who
mould own a this museum,
Mayor Scott told council.
Some are reluctant to donate
items if the town doesn't
own it.
If Huron County were to
Seaforth museum and
run it as a branch, the cura-
tor's services would come at
no charge. But if this munici-
pality were to retain owner-
ship that would not be the
case.
Donors seem to prefer town
ownership, the mayor said,
feeling that if the county ran
a museum there would be no
assurance their items would
he displayed, as that decision
would be up to the curator.
Using volunteers for labour
also appears to be the pre -
kited option locally, he
added.
Minutes of the "Celebrate
Seaforth's History" commit-
tee meeting on March 25
state:
"The committee discussed
how the museum will be
funded and operated, be it
with tax dollars; through
hcquests and donations; by
purchasing services from the
county; employing volun-
teers; attending training
workshops; etc. The commit-
tee.would like Huron County
Museum curator Claus
Breede to provide us with
some examples and cost esti-
mates. It was also suggested
that the town should place
funds in the budget for the
specific purpose of funding a
Seaforth community muse-
um."

dents."
"The interviews are being
videotaped and will form part
of Seaforth's oral history,"
she told last week's council
meeting.
"All the assessed owners
present were happy with the
report and council established
May 5 as the date for Court
of Revision." the minutes
state.
In another matter, the town-
ship accepted the tender of
David Lee at $3,600 'ao com-
