Hensall Legion Ladies Auxiliary were also in for exciting games of Bingo on Monday afternoon, and everyone was a winner. Rev. Boyachuk of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Exeter officiated at Tuesday afternoon's church service. Belva Fuss accompanied on the organ. Special thank you to the girls who gave special readings and music. Several nursing home resi- dents enjoyed a leisurely breakfast of pancakes and bacon during Wednesday morning's "Breakfast Club". Laughter could be heard from the activity room as res- • (Queensway f idents watched Wednesday afternoon's movie, "Dennis the Menace". On Thursday evening "Diners" was well attended and everyone stayed for the birthday party following the meal. Residents sang, tapped toes, and danced to the music of Marie Flynn and the Huron Strings. Coming events include: Harmony Kings in Concert at the Seaforth District High School on April 4; Christian Reform Singers on April 7; and Diners followed by flower arranging with Kerie Sue Kyle on April 9. Residents forecast weather Weather forecasters at Maplewood Manor were cor- rect when they predicted March would come in like a lamb. Sandy Pepper was the lucky winner of the contest. Paul Daillancourt enter- tained residents in March with several selections played on his violin. Everyone enjoyed his one man band act. Residents are becoming very skilled at the game of crokinole. There is great competition with Beth Pryce, Thelma Preszcator, Barbara Scott and Peggy and Charlie Perkins. Residents enjoyed church services this month with Elly Vats Bergen, Rev. Jim Delaney, Lou Rowland, Tom Melady, along with Frances Melady, sure know how to bring out the Irish in everyone. Marian Rose also delighted everyone with a selection of Irish tunes played on the piano. Pub Night, complete with green beer, was the perfect way to end the St. Patrick's Day celebration. Thinking caps were tied snug as residents prepared themselves for a good old fashioned spelling bee. They had the most fun trying to spell shishkabob and hallelu- jah. Local Optimist Club revived The Seaforth and District Optimist Club has been revived and 53 people are currently signed up to become charter members.The new club is being sponsored by Optimist Club of Shakespeare. Officers for the new club have been elected and along with other charter members will be installed at a charter presentation banquet and for- mal induction sometime in the near future.
