formerly of Clinton died at St.
Joseph's Hospital in London on
Sunday, August 24, 1997. She,was
73 Born in • Guelph on May 27,
1924, she was the daughter of the
late -Robert and Gwenivere Bartell.
She was married 10 Thomas
O'Connell who predeceased her in
1980. Mrs. O'Connell was a retired
Nurses Aid and a member of the
Ontario Street United Church. She
was a life member of the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 140
Ladies Auxiliary. and the Huronic
Rebekah's Lodge *306. She is
survived by her children, Larry and
June O'Connell of Mitchell, Keith
and Shirley O'Connell of Stratford,
and Steven and Ruth Ann
O'Connell of Clinton She is also
survived by three sisters and three
brothers. Also surviving are 7
grandchildren and • 15 great-
grandchildren She was
predeceased by one great-
grandchild, by one sister and by
one brother. Friends were received
on Mond*y, Aug. 25 at the Beattie -
Falconer Funeral Homes in Clinton
where the funeral service was held
on Tuesday. Aug. 26. with R(ry.
John Langton of Ontario Street
United. Church officiating. The
Royal Canadian Legion Ladies
Auxiliary held a memorial service
on the evening of Monday. Aug.
