Tckersmith hosts
The 70th Annual Huron
County Plowing Match was
held on Thursday, August
and Friday, August 22, out-
side of Seaford]. The hosts
were McIntosh Poultry
Farms Ltd. and George and
Ruth Townsend.
Eleven glowers took part in
the Junior Match on
Thursday, while 30 plowers
(10 junior and 20 senior)
took part on Friday. There
were three horse plowers and
11 Queen of the Furrow con-
testants. A total of 59 lands
were plowed.
Fifteen former Queens of
the Furrow were present on
Friday, from as far away as
Niagara Falls.
