She earned a silver for sec- ond place with Ontario's medley relay team, swim- ming the breaststroke, and she also finished third for bronze medals in both the IOOm breaststroke and the 200m individual medley events. "Kristy trained the last. month almost entirely on her own," coach Kendra Papple of Egmondville says in a press release. "No team- mates makes training a little harder and a lot less enjoy- able." Apparently the old fogies are supposed to use the once - frowned -on -for -being -envi- ronmentally -unfriendly elec- tric golf carts. For an old guy, Ken Sr. still looked like he was itching and able to take a few good rounds out of someone late last week - and we're not talking golf! He was hot to talk. "It's the principal of the thing," he fumed. "They (OGA) haven't heard the end of this. "Someone could end up with egg all over, just swim- ming in eggs." This Ken is 69 and has won more trophies golfing than you can shake a stick at, since back when Moby Dick was a minnow. He says he had long since officially entered this year's tourney before he found out about any course rule about carts over caddies at Stoufville, where the seniors tournament is now held regu- larly because the golf associ- ation gets it for free.
