BY DAVID SCOTT'
Expositor Editor
If you have a concept in
mind for a new house you
would like to construct or an
addition to your existing
home, Triple C Designs in
Egmondville can help you
envision the finished product.
Started in February of this
year by Helen and Doug
Vock, this business goes
beyond home design to also
include computerized quilt
design and just recently, cus-
tomized t -shirt concepts.
Starts With A Drsiwing
Of the four new house
designs and addition Helen
has designed on computer
using a CAD (computer
aided design) program, each
started out as a hand -drawn
idea from the client
"People come in with a
drawing on a piece of paper.
They give you the size of the
house. And say I want the
dining room in the front, etc.
You go from there."
Although Doug, a building
inspector in Mitchell, doesn't
help in the designing, he
makes sure the finished plans
all comply with Ontario
building codes.
Helen took a keen interest
in codes and designs over the
past three years before pur-
chasing the design computer,
printer and blueprint plotter
necessary fol- the business. "1
really enjoy this. It's not your
average job. Every project is
different."
Triple C (which stands for
Consistent Code
Construction) Designs offers
their customers full sets of
blueprints. Another feature of
its design package is a com-
plete building material list for
:few house. "Everything you
need right down to the 2 x
4's."
Customers are able to view •c
their house from all different t
angles on-screen and in the s
printouts.
