FIGHTING SACK - Physiotherapist Betty Duwyn helps Gladys Whittaker get her flexibility
back and team to walk again in the physiotherapy department at Seaforth Community
Hospital. The spunky 82 -year-old Market Street woman had a stroke in early March and
has made giant strides towards recovery in the past six weeks. She aims to go home
again and regain her independence. In the bottom photo, Carol Hunt, one of two assis-
tants in the busy department looks on. There were a total of 4,670 visits, in-patient and
out-patient. to the department in the past year. Stroke recovery is only one aspect of the
department's work. Next week is National Physiotherapy Week across Canada.
