dear husband. father and

called home April 10. 1996.
God looked around his garden.
And found an empty space.
He then looked upon the earth.
And saw your tired face
He put his arms around you.
And lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautilul.
For he only takes the best
He saw the road was getting
rough.
And the hills were hard to climb,
So he closed your weary eyes,
And whispered -Peace Be Thine'
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,

Costly oversight
Organizers of the Grand
Bend Winter Carnival were
thrown for a loop when they
learned. just prior this year's
annual event, that they need-
ed a license to use copyright
material depicting the cartoon
character Flintstones, around
which this year's theme was
based.
Hanna -Barbara. based in
California. would not allow
the carnival logo or the slo-
gan "Yahha Uabha "Lox). -
Many of the 25.000 pro-
grams hearing the logo had
already been distributed. The
sale of sweatshirts and pins
was also stopped.
The company told Grand
Bend's lawyer "they don't
usually entertain,a (licensing)
request unless Hanna -
Barbara can make $50.000...
He is attempting to make
amends. What it will all cost
has yet to he exactly deter-
mined- although Carnival
general manager Dave
Sheppard says it will he

he commented.
Painted windows through-
out the village hearing the
likeness of Flintstones char-
acters were allowed.
