Seaforth Council stopped
paying for championship
team photographs at the
arena because of cost -man-
agement budget restraints
earlier this year, but the
Seaforth and District
Community Centres board
has stepped into the breach.
It carried a motion at its
March 21 meeting to "pledge
$100 toward the price of a
-team photo for the local
minor sports team that wins a
provincial championship in
its division" for display at the
arena.
Paul Vander Molen's
motion came after Seaforth's
tween A ringette team won a
provincial title last month,
and he suggested the arena
hoard send a congratulatory
letter and $100 pledge.
"The tween ringette team
rents thc ice at the arena and
it is important to have pic-
tures of our accomplish-
ments," Vander Molen com-
mented, according to minutes
of that meeting.
