Seaforth's Davc McLlwain,
an eight-year veteran of the
National Hockey League, is
sent to the minors - loaned to
the Cleveland Lumberjacks'of
the International Hockey
League by the Ottawa Senators.
So far McLlwain, 28, has
played for six teams in his
NHL career, scoring 97 goals
and accumulat Ing 198 points.
Two Brussels brothers are
electrocuted moving scaffolding
that touches a high voltage line

London, where his condition is
downgraded from critical to

old Goderich man and former
St. Cofumban resident charged
with second-degree murder in
connection with his missing
adoptive daughter Mistie, is
released on $125,000 bail.

Township. John Edward Wil-
liamson, 26, had been working
alone, pumping liquid manure
from a large storage lank, eight
kilometers west of F xeter. when

After almost four decades
with its own municipal police
force, - Scaforth officially
returns to the Ontario Provin-
cial Police fold.
A ribbon -cutting ripens the
OPP's refurbished quarters on
Main Street, followed by
swearing-in ceremonies at
Seaforth District -School.
The group working for a
tnobility bus for this arca for
the past two years has its 50
per cent operating grant can-
celled by the Ontario
government. -
Central Huron Mobility Bus
(CHuMS) president Mike
Reiger says the five
municipalities of Seaforth,
Clinton, Tuckcrsmith, McKillop
and Mullett will meet Thursday
to discuss how, or whether, to
proceed..

Seaforth's Harmony Hi -Liter
are busy preparing to host next
week's 36th annual" inter-
national convention of an all -
women's barbershop harmony
organization, Harmony Inc., in
London.
More than 1,000 singers and
guests from around - the world
are expected to attend the four-
day event at -the Radisson Hotel
and London Convention
Centre.
The Hi-Litcs now have about
30 members, 15 of whom have
been with them since their
beginnings back in 1983.

when he died in January 1994.

months of debate by deciding
to sell the Morris Tract to the
Nature Conservancy of Canada.
The timber in ,the Goderich-
arca tract is valued at 5160,000
and the land itself at between
$125,(X)0 and 5 1 50,000, accor-
ding to appraisal.
