WE DON'T SERVE MONSTERS - The SDHS Drama Club is presenting Magic Video, a
delightful comedy which examines the familiar "boy meets girl' scenario. The story revolves
around an accident-prone guy and a well meaning friend, according to a press release. To
this pair, add a girl who might like the guy it he weren't always stepping on her feet. These
three characters interact with each other and deal with unexpected plot twists in an hilari-
ous 50 minutes. Performances will be at the high school gym on Nov. 29 (tonight) and 30
and Dec. 6, 7 & 8 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $4 or $3 with a canned good. Children under
12 will be admitted free.
Huron municipalities talk amalgamation
After 18 months of
preliminary discussion, Exeter
and Stephen Township have
scheduled amalgamation talks
for early in the coming year.
They hope other H.lron County
municipalities join them.
With 26 municipalities and
about 50,000 people living in
Huron "it only makes sense
that we reduce municipalities
before the cash crunch comes,"
Exeter administrator Rick Hun-
dey told The London Free
Press. He added the two
municipalities hope to be reor-
ganized before the 1997 civic
elections.
The Mayor of Exeter, Ben
Hoogenboom, said such a
merger might be a way of
saving cash and becoming
more efficient.
"We agreed to get our own
plans in. place before the
province steps in," said
Stephen Township Reeve Bill
Weber.
