Townsend, died on Sunday, September 24, 1995 at Stratford General Hospital in her 77th year. Sarah was the beloved wife of Gordon Elliott of Seaforth. Dear Mother of Bob Elliott and his wife Sharon of Kitchener, Emily and her husband Scotty LaRue of Haliburton, Helen and her husband Graeme Craig of R.R. #1, Walton and Mary Elliott of Burnaby, B.C. Fondly remembered by 9 grandchildren and their spouses, David and Line, Darren and Sandy, Matthew, Chantal and Rod, Tran and Tammy, Noelle, Danielle, Michael and Shannon and 6 great grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessikah, Chase, Molly, Chad and Breana. Also survived by one sister, Florence and her husband Jack Carter of Seaforth and by 3 brothers, Warren Whitmore of Clinton, Fletcher Whitmore of Kitchener, Carmen Whitmore and his wife Elva of London and one sister-in-law Kathleen Whitmore of Clinton. Predeceased by 1 grandson Chad Craig, 1 brother Erlin Whitmore and 2 sisters-in-law Irene and Ruth Whitmore. Sarah was an active and life member of the Seaforth Women's Institute and had also served as secretary of the Huron South District Women's Institute. She was a faithful and hardworking member of the Northside' United Church Women. Her love of flowers kept her involved in the Seaforth Horticultural Society. Following many years as a 4-H leader Sarah remained interested in the 4-H programs. Family and friends gathered at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1995 for the funeral services. Rev. Bruce Cook officiated at the service which included 'In the Garden" and 'The Rose" sung by Graeme Craig and a reading the "Nature's Creed" by Jean Ross. Pallbearers were grandsons David and Matthew Elliott, Tran LaRue and Michael Craig and nephews Bruce Whitmore and Allan Carter. Flower bearers included granddaughters Chantal Thurston, Noelle LaRue, Danielle LaRue and Shannon Craig. Sarah was laid to rest at Maitlandbank Cemetery. Memorial donations were made to Northside United Church, Seaforth Community Hospital and charities of choice. 42-40-1 - MCBEATH, Peart of Sun Parlor Home for Senior Citizens in Leamington and ' formerly ot. Brucefield eked in Leamington on Saturday, Sept. 30. Site was 86. Born in Brucefield on July 4, 1909, she was the daughter of the late George and Charlotte Brock. She was married to the late J.W. Wally McBeath. Mrs. McBeath was a homemaker and a member of Brucefield United Church. Mrs. McBeath is survived by one son, Douglas and his. wife Donna McBeath of Windsor. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Joanne.and Sarto Pitre and Scott McBeath. Visitation was at the Beattie -Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton on Monday, Oct. 2. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, Oct. 3, with Rev. Paul Gilroy of Brucefield United Church officiating. Interment in Baird's Cemetery. 42-40xlcc SMITH, Olive: Mrs. Olive Smith, a resident of Maplewood Manor, Seafortn and formerly of Dublin passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 1, 1995 in her 81st year. Qom at Carlingford on March 16, 1915, she was the former Olive Mary Harper and was a daughter of the late Garnet Harper and the former Edna Boyd. On January 6, 1938 she was married to William V. Smith who predeceased her on June 1, 1973. Following their marriage the couple resided in Dublin moving to Seaforth in 1968. She and her husband were former members of St. Marys Anglican Church In Dublin and Mrs. Smith was a present member of St. Thomas Anglican Church in Seaforth. She was a former member of the Seaforth Women's Institute. She is survived by a son William G. Smith of Goderich, a sister Alice Fischer and her husband Gordon of Mitchell, a brother Boyd Harper and his wife Viola of R.R. 2, St. Pauls. Also surviving is a niece Sharon Flanagan and her husband Jack of R.R. 1, Dublin, two great nephews Darcy and Shawn Flanagan and a great niece Meghan Flanagan. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Shirley Ann Smith (1938), a sister-in-law Florence Kay (1993) and by one great nephew John Flanagan (1981). Friends were received at the 'Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St. Mitchell on Monday 7- 9 p.m. where the funeral service was held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev.
