The market at Brussels Livestock saw Fed Steers and Heifers selling $1 higher. Cows sold steady. On Thursday, Veal sold $2-3 higher. Lambs sold fully steady. Friday saw all stockers selling on a good active fully steady trade. There were 517 steers on offer selling from 84.00 to 88.00 to the high of 96.75. Three steers consigned by Bernard Boyle, Auburn averaging 1158 lbs sold for an average of 84.25 with sales to 87.25. There were 240 heifers on offer selling from 84.00 to 88.00 to the high of 93.00. Five heifers consigned by Paul Aldwinkle, Varna averaging 1167 lbs sold for an average of 80.39 with sales to 84.00. Six heifers consigned by Jerry Cronin, Dublin, averaging 1115 lbs sold for an average of 81.09 with sales to 83.75. There were 165 cows on offer selling from 32.00 to 55.00 to the high of 57.75. There were 27 bulls on offer selling from 55.50 to 64.88 to the high of 79.50. One Char bull consigned by Warden Haney, Seaforth, weighing 1910 lbs sold for 68.50. The market at Brussels Livestock saw all classes of cattle selling on a steady trade. On Thursday, veal sold on a strong active trade. Lambs sold on a high trade. On Friday, all weights of stockers sold steady. There were 485 steers on offer selling from 82.00 to 86.00 to the high of 92.50.
