Exciting month
by Cindy Degroof, Retire-

Hello, everyone! It has cer-
tainly been an exciting month
at. Seaforth Manor Retirement

ictoria Park and watching the
Cavan Cloggers and listening
to the Dashwood/Seaforth
Band. They also had a contest
for the best theme hat. Prizes
went to: 1st, Marg McCowan;
2nd, Myrtle Read; 3rd, Theresa
Lauzon.
On July 11 residents enjoyed
their first pub night. The resi-
dents really liked all the bever-
ages and treats that were
served. The evening was
enjoyed so well that the resi-
dents have requested to hold it
again.
The retirement home enjoyed
its Ice Cream parlour. The
weather was extremely warm
that day therefore it made the
treat slide down that much
better.
On July 19 the . residents
enjoyed the piano playing of
one of the staff members, Anne
Leeper. Ruth Campbell also
contributed with her singing
ability to make for a great
evening.
On July 25 the residents went
to the Grand Bend Zoo. It was
great to get out for the day!
Seaforth Manor would like to
congratulate Charlene and Mike
Foxton on the birth of their
third son, Lucas William.
Seaforth Manor has a new
edition to the retirement home,
an aquarium. A staff member,
Jennifer Hargreaves donated
her fish tank with two fish, two
frogs and one algae eater. The
residents enjoyed watching
them swim.
Happy Birthday to Mary
Ryan who celebrates her birth-
day on August 20. A special
welcome from the retirement
home is extended to Edith
Wright. Until next month, Take
