Here, -Betty Johnston (cleaning staff), resident Marilyn Kramers and her granddaughter Desiree Duchesne, 21, of Dublin, enjoy the meal. Residents helped cook the dinner and the turkey was brought fully prepared courtesy of Bill McLaughlin. Free skating Free family skating will be held at the Seaforth 'and District Community Centres. Happy New Year from Jays hold first in St. James league BY GEORGE LOVE The Jays continue to hold first place in the St. James Bowling League after a 5-2 victory over the Emus on Monday, Dec. 19 at Star- light Lanes. Martin Andreassi paced the Jays with 219,233-647. Leading scores for the Emus were bowled by Gord .Murray 223-547 and Mark Higenell 219-515. The Partridges kept pace with a 5-2 win over the Loons. Connie Marion had an excellent night with 265,281-705, Janice Morris 253-631 and Arie Van Diepen 207-523. For the Loons, it was Bob Dinsmore 206,265-659, and Martin Van Bakel 249-589. In the final match. it was the Doves blanking the Eagles 7-0. Top bowlers for the Doves were Don Nolan 214,284- 675, Jack Ryan 223,202-596. George Love led the Eagles with 281-679, and Betty Johnston 215- 533. Team Standings: Jays - 62; Par- tridges - 56; Loons - 51; Eagles - 45; Doves - 44 and Emus - 36.
