Invitation to Tender for the
Assessment Office Building Renovations
- First Floor -
Goderich, Ontario
General Contractors are invited to submit stipulated sum bids
(CCDC2-1982) for interior renovations to the first_floor of the
Assessment Office Building located at 57 Napier Street, Goderich.
The work involves window replacement, life safety upgrades, parti-
tions, interior finishes, and modification to electrical and mechanical
systems. •
A pre-bid meeting at the Assessment Office Building is set for
9:00 a.m. Friday December 23, 1994. Tender documents will be avail-
able at this meeting and at the County Highways Department in the
Court House during office hours on December 28, 29, and 30, at cost
of $20.00 per set. Make cheques in favour of the County of Huron.
General contractors and mechanical and electrical subtrades are
strongly advised to attend the pre-bid meeting. There will be no
access to the building from 24 December 1994 to 01 January 1995,
inclusive, due to holidays.
Bids for the work must be accompanied by a bid security deposit in
the form of a certified cheque or bid bond in the amount of $5,000.
The successful bidder will be required to provide an irrevocable let-
ter of credit or bonds in the amount. of $15,000 as
performance/ labour and materials payment security.
Bid close is set for 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday the 3rd of January 1995 at
Highways Department, County of 'Huron, Court House, Goderich.
Work must be completed by 28 February -1995.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders, and will
not necessarily accept the lowest bid.

Exeter on Sunday, Dec. 18 from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m., then to Precious Blood
Mission, Main Street, Exeter on

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m.
with Father John Pirt, Celebrant.
Interment in Exeter Cemetery. Prayers
were said in the funeral home on

SCOTT, Kathleen McMann, of
Oaklawn, III., wife of Leslie Scott,
formerly of Seaforth, passed away at
Brentwood Nursing Centre, Burbank III.
on Dec. 11/94. She was in her 97th
year. She is survived by a son, William
and his wife Rhoda of Oaklawn III. and
a daughter, Betty Moore and her
husband Robert of Laguna Hills,
California. Also surviving her are four
grandchildren Glen, Larry, Kathy and
Janet and six great granddaughters.
She was predeceased by one great

PA UN, William Henry (Harry),
longtime resident of McKillop Township
passed away Dec. 14, 1994 at Seaforth
Community Hospital in his 97th year.
Predeceased by his wife Elenor
(Grummett) in 1981. Harry was bom in
Dodcott-Cum-Wiekestey, county of
Chester England. He served in the
'King's Liverpool Regi' during W.W. 1.
He was a member of Seaforth Legion.
We are so pleased he was able to
attend one last Remembrance Day
banquet at the Legion. He so looked
forward to that. He was an active
member of St. Thomas Anglican Church
choir for seventy years. He began
contributing articles to the Huron
Expositor when he was 95. He got so
much pleasure out of this pursuit, both
in working with Dave and in the
comments he received from his readers.
He will be sadly missed by his sons Jim
and his wife Marie, Robert and his wife
Barb, five grandchildren and four great
grandchildren. Friends were received at
the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home in
Seaforth. The funeral was held on Sat.
Dec. 17 at St. Thomas Anglican Church
officiated by Rev. Gordon Redden.
Flower bearers were Beth, Bonnie,
Elaine and Kathy Palin. Pallbearers
were Ray Palin, Larry East, Dwayne
-Pryoe, Wayne Gray, Bob McMillan and
Hugh McPherson. Spring interment in
Maitlandbank Cemetery. 42-51-1
