It was Christmas Eve in Seaforth.
I was just going to bed when a big
thump was coming down the chim-

Nick. He must have had a big bag

Carrots for your
reindeer, Santa
Dear Santa,
I will leave you some carrots for
the reindeers. They might be hun-
gry when you come to my house. I
have been a good girl this year. I
would. like a new teddy and my
sister would like a Polly Pocket.
Thank you.

Christmas snow
Fun, exciting, cold, white
Happiness, laughing in the snow.
A joyful time and you can't wait.
Freezing and shivering like a scared
cat.
Snow like a blanket all around.
A joyful feeling comes from some-
where and fills us all with merri-
ment.
I will soon be playing in the Christ-
mas Snow.

Sweden has
tradition of elves
The country of Sweden has its
own Christmas traditions. The
Swedes have a favourite saint
named Saint Lucia.
Dec. 13 is St. Lucia Day and their
Christmas season starts with a
festival of lights, according to Lillie
Patterson, author of Christmas in
America.
Everyone has heard of Santa's
elves. Well, the Swedes had their
own legend about Scandinavian
elves with pointed red caps and
long beards who brought with them
gifts.
Snow
White, beautiful, fun,
The bright light snow is falling.
It sparkles and it shines.
Its really cool to play with snow
tumbling and rolling and throwing.
Angels, snowmen, big white forts.
All made of snow.
