111111 Traditions
by Scott Forrest
and Craig Nicholson
My family has a tradition that we
have on Christmas eve. We all get
together and pick one present from
under the Christmas tree. Then we
open the presents and when we
open the presents we say thank you
to the person who gave it to you.
' Then we play with our presents for
about two hours. Then we have
supper and after we go to the tree
lighting. When the tree lighting is
over we go home and have a snack.
When we finished our snack we go
up stairs to have a snooze. When
we wake up at 7:00 oclock in the
morning we are allowed to get the
stuff out of our stockings. Then we
have breakfast after we open the
presents. When we finish our break-
fast we go to church for the Christ-
mas day service.
When the Christmas day service
is over, we go home and have fun
with our toys. After we are finished
playing with our toys we go and
have lunch we our family. Then we
go out side to go G.Ting at dead
man's drop in Seaforth by the river
that runs under the bridge. After we
finish G.Ting we go back home and
have some hot chocolate because
we are cold. When we are finished
our hot chocolate we go to bed to
have a rest.
Merry Christmas
Christmas is a season of song and of unity. This is captured by
Seaforth Public School grade seven student Wendy Glauser.
My family tree trimming party
Every year a couple week before
Christmas my family has a Tree -
Trimming Party. We invite every-
body that we are related to and
friends. Ever since we moved to
Cranbook we have been inviting my
best friend Johanna Miller. She and
I always have fun with the other
kids.
First we play outside then we go
into the house to watch movies and
have supper.
After supper we decorate our ten -
foot Christmas tree. After that we
play some board games and have
cookies.
The only people that usually sleep
over are my Aunt Debbie, Uncle
Marty and their kids and my friend
Johanna.
I hope this year's Tree -Trimming
Party is the best party we have ever
thrown.

Family visit Christmas tradition
TRADITIONS OF CHRISTMAS
by Pam Hamilton
and Meagan Robinson
Usually people get into the Christ-
mas spirit by: putting up the tree
and decorating it along with the rest
of the house. Most churches put on
church plays about Jesus and
Christmas. Also there is White Gift
Christmas at aunt's
I was excited before the Christ-
mas at my Aunts. In the morning I
couldn't wait but my mom said "It
isn't till lunch time" "But mom
can't we go early?" "We could go
but no one would be there." " I
don't care" "Fine go get dressed
and we can go." So I ran up the
stairs but I couldn't go because 1
didn't have anything to wear. So I
may as well go back to bed till
Christmas day. So I did!

Sunday! That's when the church
exchanges gift to one another and
you gide food to the needy. Another
tradition is having family
gatherings, putting on plays, giving
gifts and having a big supper or
dinner. In some towns people go
around singing Christmas carols and
sometimes have Christmas dances
and parties. Some people go to their
grandparents or any relative's house
to celebrate Christmas, just like I
(Pam) go to my aunt's house every
year, and I (Meagan go to my
grandma's.)
"I think all these traditions sound
good don't you?
