Two bowlers beat 300
Thursday, Dec. 8 saw Brian Barry
and Nancy Sue Thomson both bowl
300 -plus games for the Thursday
Nighters. There was also Ingrid
Doigs 192, Patricia Schwarz's 194
and Bonnie Janmatt's 205.
Over on lanes one and two the
Boozin Brewers were bowling
against the Wolverines in a high
scoring match. The Brewers man-
aged to take two games and total
pins for the Wolverines. The
Brewers got super scoring games
from Doug Leonhardt 209,273,204-
686; Trevor Price 208; Nancy Sue
Thomson 322,225-730 and Sharri
MacDonald 183. Mike Thomson'
228,205-625; Don Brown's 225,207
and Connie Trotter's 207 were the
best that the Wolverines could
muster.
The Buds are proving to be too
much for the rest of the teams to
knock out of first place. Murray's
Marauders gave them a run for their
money, but the Buds came ahead 5-
2. Leading the way for The Buds

The Jays moved back into first
place in the St. James Bowling
League when they edged the Doves
5-2 at Starlight Lanes on Monday,
Dec. 5. Top bowlers for the Jays
were Murray Bennewies 287,233-
700, Martin Andreassi 210,293-691,
Wilhelmina Poppe 218,215-605 and
Joyce Marcuccio 206-524. Leaders
for the Doves were Jack Ryan 260,
207-638, and Don Nolan 210-569.
The Partridges stayed within one
point of first place even through
they lost by a 5-2 score to the
Emus. Mark Higenell paced the
Emus with 270, 219-670.
The team making the largest gain
turned out to be the Eagles when
they blanked the first -place Loons
7-0. George Love led the Eagles'
attack with scores of 245,244,363 -
852 and Betty Johnston 221-557.
Top scores for the Loons were
recorded by Martin Van Bake!,
234,228-618, Bob Dinsmore 213-
563, Kevin Johnston 253-555, and
Johanna Goodman 205-547.

BEAVERS IN SKYDOME - Well, there are no Blue Jays playing
there, so why not Beavers? Seaforth-area Beavers recently took
part in a giant camp -out at the Skydome in Toronto. Although they
didn't get much sleep they had an experience of a lifetime. These

Even though the weather
wasn't the best, thirty-three
Seniors turned out to bowl on
Dec. 9. With only one week left
in the fall schedule, the Canaries
hold a slim two-point lead over
the Bluejays who have been
bowling well the last few weeks.
The Owls are sell in contention
just three points behind.
Ann Wood had high single
213 and triple 570 for the
women. Ron Bennett took high
single 232 and John Van Loon
had high triple 573 for the men.
Women bowling well were
Betty Leonhardt 519 triple;
Maxine Marks 490; Joyce

Bethel Bible Church, Egmondville
on November 19th, 1994.
The wedding was performed by
Rev. Rick Lucas of Seaforth.
Galyena is the daughter of Peter
and Anna Polyanko of the Ukraine.
David is the son of Glen and
Shirley Staffen of Seaforth.
Bridemaid was Colleen Staffen,
sister-in-law of the groom.
In the absence of her parents
the bride was given in marriage by
Brad McLlravey of Mississauga.

of Toronto, friend of the groom.
