IN MEMORIAM • ♦ FLANAGAN: In loving memory of our wonderful brother, Peter, December 17, 1993. Love forever, brother Pat; his wife Joanne, their daughters Cassidy and Godchild Brittany. 46-50x1 FLANAGAN: William Peter. March 26, 1956 - December 17, 1993. A thousand times we've wondered why, but there is no answer. Someday maybe we will understand. Someday maybe it will get easier. We'll be able to smile without hurting inside. We'll be able to laugh when we think of him. We'll be able to talk about him without tears in our eyes. They say time is a healer. But' how much time? It's not going to be any easier just because our 'firsts' are over. We realize we were very fortunate. We had a wonderful, loving, kind and caring husband, father and friend. But the time we had with him wasn't long enough. We had so many plans; so many dreams; so much to share. But our lives go on. We must go on, knowing someday we will meet again. You are always in our hearts. - Love Joanne, Matthew, Mark, Kayla and Jacob. 46-50-1 LUDWIG: In loving memory of a dear son and brother; Doug Ludwig, who died Dec. 18, 1990. In his kind and gentle way, He found joy in every day, While teaching, coaching or just being a Dad, He gave the best that he had. A loving son to his mother, A devoted husband and treasured brother, Our world has changed from that day, But when we stop and silently pray, We give thanks for all his years, Fond memories of 'Doug' drys our tears. Sadly missed and forever loved by his mom, Edith Ludwig, and family. 46-50-1 FLANAGAN: In loving memory of a dear son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, Peter, who passed away suddenly 1 year ago, Dec. 17, 1993. Maybe we can't touch your hand or see your smiling face, And maybe we can't hear your voice or feel your warm embrace, But you lett us with memories we are proud to own, We will always remember the way you looked, And the way you spoke and smiled, The little things you said and did, Are with us all the while. You meant so very much to us that nothing we can say or do, Will tell the sadness in our hearts, When we think of you each day, Our Love for you, your love for us, Will never let us part, But one day in God's garden, When the master calls us to come, You'll be at the gate with open arms and say 'Welcome Home'. Forever loved and sadly missed, Mom and Dad, Pat and Joanne, Mary Anne and Casey, Joan, Maureen, Mike and Rosie, Barb, and nieces and nephews. 46-50xlcc 47. Thank you Father Hardy, Father Wronski and Father Howard -Smith, the Memorial Funeral Home and the Michael O'Connor Funeral Home for your words of comfort and support. To the Dykstra family and the St. Boniface CWL for the lovely luncheons. There is comfort in knowing that family, friends and neighbors such as we have will help us through the empty days that fie ahead. - Bill Dykstra, Les and Cathy Glanville and Families. 47-50x1 $250,000 (U.S.) but he needed a $15,000 bank draft made out per- sonally to him before he could send her the money. She told him she could not raise that much money, but he persisted, and she finally agreed to send three payments of $5,000 each, one each week for the next three weeks. After that, she began receiving more phone calls asking for more money, and promising televisions, VCRs, trips to Mexico and other prizes, before she finally called police. OPP Const. John Marshall said the chance of people getting their money back from these type of scam operators is virtually nil. "These people set up offices for a month, then move," he said. "They're not about to use their real names, and they don't leave a for- warding address." Legitimate businesses will not ask for a cash advance when they call to tell someone they've won a prize, he added. 11M CUJMaIING PHOTO JUST A LITTLE LOUDER - Nicholas Giller and Krista Shortreed get a little prompting from their Walton Public School teacher, Mrs. Howe -Lobb, during the Walton Public School Christmas Concert at Duff's Church on Friday aftemoon.
