The Children's Co-operative Centre would like to invite any- one interested to their General Meeting tonight (Nov. 16) at 7:(X) p.m. at the Centre. Babysitting is available free of charge during the meeting. The Parents and Tots Play- group will be hosting a fundraising sale on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Women's Resourse Centre on Main Street. Come check out the bake table, crafts, Indisposablc diapers, discovery toys, and Pig Talcs books. Plan now to attend the Seaforth Hospital Auxiliary's l ree of Lights. The Auxiliary has been busy planning its Third Annual Celebration which will be held on Sunday, Nov. 20. The celebrations will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the light- ing ceremony to take place at 7:(X) p.m. Other activities you can enjoy will be their bazaar. The bazaar will feature craft tables, bake table, mystery table, entertainment, hot mulled cider and cookies. Tickets for a light can be purchased by any Hospi- tal Auxiliary member. Glanville 344 The St. James Catholic Women's League Annual Bazaar and Tea will be held on Satur- day, Nov. 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the St. James School Auditorium. Come enjoy a Penny Sale, Bake Table, Mys- tery Table, Sewing, Crafts and a Tea Room. The draw for a quilt will be made on this afternoon. You arc invited to join the Friends of the Library on Mon- day, Nov. 28 at the Seaforth Branch Library from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. This meeting will be an information meeting so you may get to know your local library. Guest Speaker will be Margaret Day, Library Board member and former Wingham Branch Supervisor. 4-H members prepare for achievement night 4-H REPORT AMANDA RYAN The fifth meeting of the 'Bready Bunch' was held on Nov. 10 in the St. Columban Church hall. The meeting opened with the 4-H pledge and then we separated into our groups. Members read through their books and worked on posters for Achievement night (which is on Dec. 12) while the leaders made Oliebollen. We served the Oliebollen to the other clubs, they said it was very good. The next meeting will be Nov. 17 in the St. Columban Church hall at 7 p.m. Olave Little takes high single and triple Olave Little took over year-to- date single 249 and triple 570 with four strikes in a row in Senior bowling on Nov. 11. Right behind Olave was Ann Wood with a 214 single and 541 triple. Beryl Reid; Betty Leonhardt; Joyce Wallace and Catherine Staples bowled over their aver- ages. The men sure came through with some really good scores. Charlie Perkins was back in the limelight with both single 279 and triple 627. Following close- ly behind was John Aubin 234- 620. Next and in order were Ron Bennett 201-567; Campbell Wey 241-566; Don Wood 218- 554; Oliver Prycc 208-514; and John Van Loon 205-504. Bowling over their averages with very reputable scores were Bill Mitchell; Bob Harris; Watson Reid; Norm McLean; Fred Munnings and Sandy Doig. It looks like the Seniors are finally getting into the groove. Alan Lyddiatt of RR. 1 Brucefield and Kent and Mark Moffett of Egmondville. The choir also sang last week at St. Patrick's School in Dublin. Wannabees, Buds tied for first There was some mighty fine bowling at the Starlight Lanes on Nov. 10 for the Thursday Nighters. Each member of Murray's Marauders bowled at least one game over 200. There was also Ingrid Doig's game of 187 and Connie Trotter's 189. The Wannabees jumped into a tie for the lead for the league by taking two games and total pins from the Wolverines. Brian Barry's 219,213,237-669; Tracy Klaver's 208.-555;- Sandra Klavcr's 211 and spare Lou Dale's 240,216,219-675 helped out immensely for the Wannabees. Top bowlers for the Wolverines were Mike Thomson 247, 204-621; Don Brown 208, 215 and Sue Alce 190. The second match -up on lanes 3 and 4 saw Murray's Marauders sweep the Falling Pins 7-0. There was Murray Bennewies' 242,243,249-734; Deb Bedard's 218-542; Erich Matzold's 203; Bonnie Janmatt's 206; Mary Wynja's 209 and Todd Doig's 257 all for the Marauders. The Falling Pins got super games from Doug Procter 295,231-691; Diana Steep 215-517 and Betty Coleman 168. It was close bowling between The Buds and the Boozin Brewers with the Brewers man- aging to squeak four points and the Buds three points. Bowling great games for the Brewers were Doug Leonhardt 253,261- 698; Sharri MacDonald 150 and Nancy Sue Thomson 186-525. Leading the way for The Buds were John Coleman 217; Gary Bedard 221,231-613; Jason Cooper 189 and Sheila Wright 148.
